Abstract
Summary form only given. Investigations aimed at improving Ce/sup 3+/ laser material photochemical stability and efficiency have shown that very significant improvement can be achieved by using an anti-solarant co-activation by Yb/sup 3+/ ions. KrF* laser pumped photochemically-stabilized Ce/sup 3+/:LiLuF/sub 4/ have demonstrated the performance with over 62% slope efficiency and no indication of pump-induced performance degradation.
