  • Abstract
We presents a novel electrochemical sensing platform consisting of a set of the suspended glassy carbon nanomesh electrode of deliberately controlled shapes (hexagonal or diamond) and a planer glassy carbon electrode that is located just below the suspended electrode This electrochemical sensor achieved current signal amplification up to 48 times in a PDMS microchannel using redox cycling effect between two electrodes. This complex morphology of the glassy carbon structures is realized using a simple batch process consisting of conventional UV lithography and pyrolysis, and soft lithography. The microchannel can be completed by covering the glassy carbon electrode structure with a planar PDMS layer so that no cumbersome alignment is required.
