Abstract :
The reference governor (RG) approach to constraint handling has been proposed as an efficient but perhaps suboptimal alternative to model based predictive control (MBPC). Here we illustrate that the basic construction of RG and MBPC schemes is the same and the only difference is the choice of performance index
