Abstract :
With the consideration of optimal joint multiuser detection and soft-decision decoding, an optimal spatial diversity receiver is devised on the basis of likelihood ratio test (LRT), and its performance is analyzed for slowly flat fading channels, where BPSK is employed for the transmission of the coded information sequence. To assess the performance, an upper bound on the probability of symbol errors is derived. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the performance of the diversity scheme for multiuser reception
