  • Abstract
    The China´s South-to-North Water Diversion Project is the largest water transfer project in the world which was paid more attentions on by thousands of peoples. The important task of project manager is to control project cost and duration. It is the most concerned question with the project managers which factors seriously affect the duration and cost. In order to study the problem, a questionnaire survey among the participants in the project was conducted. Firstly, this paper examined the reliability of the questionnaires by Statistical Package for the Social Science. Secondly, on the basis of ensuring the reliability of the questionnaire, this paper adopted the mean of each impact factor to make an importance evaluation of 94 influences encountered in the project. In addition, this paper has also applied rank and the Cox-Stuart trend increase test method in examining the variance corresponding to every mean. It was showed that the former 6 factors that played a leading role on the duration and cost. Meanwhile, the two of these factors are made a key analysis and elaboration.
