Abstract :
The paper presents both anti-inference packaging and effective calibration schemes for accurate current detection in household appliance using flexible current tags. The sensor with NiFe C-clamp stripes can effectively prevent electromagnetic interference (EMI) effect and reduce the measurement error down to less than 2%, while the external current source is placed 1cm away from the power cord to be detected. Meanwhile, an effective calibration scheme using two sensor coils with a designated separation is proposed and experimentally validated for accurate current detection based on a quadratic polynomial approximation.
