Abstract :
Electromagnetic tomography (EMT) sensing system with multi-excitation-modes is introduced. It can produce three excitation modes, among which the quasi-parallel excitation mode can give more independent projections than the parallel mode and produces relatively more even sensitivity distribution than the coil-pair mode. A new kind of image reconstruction algorithm based on inverse problem is proposed for the quasi-parallel excitation mode. The simulated results prove that this algorithm performs better than the former algorithms.
