            Abstract :
This paper proposes a joint road-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-vehicle communications system with non-regenerative repeater. In the proposed system, each vehicle has a non-regenerative repeater function to relay the received signals to the other vehicles. In the proposed system, since the received signal at one vehicle receiver is re-transmitted without regenerative detection, the inter-vehicle communication network can easily be achieved without complex dynamic routing functions, also the proposed system can effectively overcome the shadowing problem. This paper analyzes the transmission performance of the proposed system with pure-ALOHA, and DS-CDMA (direct sequence-code division multiple access) protocols, and shows that the proposed system is effective
