Abstract :
European Union (EU) announced RoHS directive in 2003, this restriction has impacted Taiwanpsilas export-oriented 3C product manufacturers and their supply chains very much to maintain their competitions. In this paper, a Green Product Management System (GPMS) is developed with the purpose to ensure a green production in compliance with RoHS. Possible problems and their interactions, which motivate the GPMS development are first identified and analyzed. Necessary functional modules are further conducted from the control perspective to assist to the implementation of an IT system. The presented GPMS includes six subsystems. Several user interface snapshots of these subsystems are illustrated. We expect to provide GPMS to companies such as system integrators that have not yet adopted green systems in full with a reference for future implementation.
