Abstract :
In this paper, a novel scheme is developed for constructing affine invariant descriptors by deriving affine invariant closed curves from the object. Those closed curves derived from the affine transformed object are the affine transformed version of the that from the original object. The affine invariant descriptors are constructed by summing up gray-value on these closed curves. Some experiments have been conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. Experimental results show that the proposed method is more robust to noise than some existing methods.
