Knowledge management (KM) has been regarded as a popular research topic for the industry and academicians in these years. Some scholars mentioned that human resource management plays an important role in implementing knowledge management. Furthermore, the importance of information technology (IT) as a tool to facilitate effective knowledge management (KM) activities has become apparent. Consequently, this present research assumes that there is something unique in effective organizations been created, in other words, in a certain KM strategy various patterns of HRM strategy, and IT strategy must be aligned for achieving organizational outcome. Empirical data for hypothesis testing is collected from top-ranked companies in Taiwan; yielding 161 valid samples. Performance implications of fit are examined using profile deviation approach. The findings show that the holistic perspective of fit as profile deviation demonstrates a significant impact on business performance.
