Abstract :
Mixed-mode S-parameters give strong insight in the design and characterization of 4-port differential RF/microwave circuits. A new method of extracting the mixed-mode S-parameters for electronic circuits designed with SPICE or SPECTRE is presented. A 5GHz CMOS power amplifier example shows good simulation agreement between SPICE results and the results of a microwave simulator.
