Abstract :
The translation matrix for a one-dimension period containing an arbitrary number of isotropic layers and bianisotropic layers is given and analyzed. The conditions of bandgap existence are found in the analytical form. The translation matrix for M periods is obtained without multiplication of the translation matrix for a period.
