Abstract :
The intelligent network (IN) concept is described, and IN evolution and deployment are considered from the Bell Atlantic perspective. The advantages that the IN concept promises to offer to Bell Atlantic´s customers are described. These advantages include the rapid development of services, the instantaneous ubiquity of these services, the ability to customize a set of features for a single customer economically, and the ability of a service provider like bell Atlantic to independently create service applications
