Abstract :
The paper deals with the possibilities of modelling the reliability of MV lines (modelling of numbers of failures and corresponding durations of supply interruption). The choice of the model is in particular determined by the available data i.e. the availability of long-term statistical monitoring. Usage of reliability simulation is demonstrated on selected examples from real MV distribution networks for some reliability models that are based on 10-year records of failures.
