Abstract :
The authors describe a prototype, 256-channel neutron-multiplicity-counting circuit. It is being used with a 4 MHz shift-register-based neutron coincidence circuit. The two circuits mount in a double-wide nuclear instrument module. The prototype multiplicity shift register is now being tested in the Plutonium Facility at Los Alamos. The physicists are satisfied with its operation and multiplicity capacity.<>
