Abstract :
This paper presents a new evaluation model for managing performance measures of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation project team in an organization. With the performance measures classified into four strategic perspectives of the balanced scorecard, the evaluation model enables the goal alignment between the project team and the organization. A new algorithm using the concept of multi attribute decision making is developed to obtain the relative importance value for each performance measure for its contribution to the strategic goals of the organization. The higher the importance value of a performance measure, the more important the role it plays in determining the responsibilities of the corresponding project team player. Understanding the importance of the key performance measures will help an organization well-prepare to launch a project and have the project being organized in advance. A case of an ERP implementation project in an integrated manufacturing corporation is presented to demonstrate the applicability of the evaluation model and its effective management of the performance measures.
