Abstract :
A new method to evaluate the quality of color images is proposed in this paper, i.e. DSF (definition, error sensitivity and objective fidelity), which would combine the definition, error sensitivity and objective fidelity through utilizing the vision properties of human eyes and redundant color information fully. For the existence of color redundancy and structural similarity between three different frames, the definition of color images would be evaluated by the way based on 3D SIT (submatrix integration transform), in which three color components of color image is integrated into one model and color redundancy can be exploited well. The experimental results show that the assessment method is very effective and can give the objective evaluation relatively in accord with vision properties
