  • Abstract
As one of the candidate solutions for network information delivery for user equipments (UEs), the Cognitive Pilot Channel (CPC) concept has been brought forward in EU FP6 project E2R, providing UEs with the necessary information for reconfiguration by using the public signaling channel. Besides, provided the whole geographical area is divided into meshes, both broadcast and on-demand transmission modes have been proposed for network information delivery. In this paper, mesh grouping scheme with less meshes is designed for broadcast CPC, where adaptive size rectangles are used to approximate the whole area. Compared with traditional fixed size mesh division scheme, as the number of meshes is reduced, the average delay in receiving CPC information in UE side is also reduced.
