Abstract :
Many banks and airline companies have used coupon automatic recognition system to process cheques and flight coupons, but how to store such huge numbers of coupon images efficiently is still a challenge. In this paper, we introduce an adaptive multi-types flight coupon images compression scheme based on background knowledge extraction. Comparing with the method of directly using common compression standard JPEG and JPEG2000, the total compression rate is improved dramatically
