Abstract :
A novel wavefront compensation technique which we call Toward Inverse Filtering (TIF) is introduced. The well known Inverse Filtering technique is optimal for the standpoint of imaging fidelity but lacks stability. TIF approaches the performance of Inverse Filtering while demonstrates adequate stability. It compresses the spectrum amplitude in combination with phase deaberration algorithms. Experiments with breast specimens have shown that TIF represents a substantial improvement over other deabberation algorithms
