Abstract
In this paper, we propose an MMSE sense optimal approach for single user code acquisition in the CDMA communication system. It is assumed that the training sequence is sent to the desired user. The method is based on quite similar optimization criterion as that of interference suppressing MMSE demodulators. Using the training signal, the performance can be greatly improved without increasing computational complexity. Simulations show that the method outperforms, e.g. CMOE method, maximum likelihood method, eigenvector-based MUSIC, and matched filter
