Abstract :
The performance of the cell search algorithm proposed in UTRA has been evaluated using Monte Carlo simulations. Results indicate that for a handover scenario, synchronisation can in average be achieved within 110 ms for all evaluated environments when the average power of the synchronisation channel equals 0.5 percent of the total transmission in the target cell
