Abstract :
This paper introduces a new transmitter architecture for UWB impulse radio communication dedicated to 3.1-5.1GHz band. The latter is developed for applications targeting data rates up to 1Mbps, associated with location and fine positioning. First, through a windowed cosine pulse model, power and spectral analysis of generated pulses are presented. Then, based on previous results, a pulse generator architecture is proposed and its design specifications are studied more in detail.
