Abstract :
We have developed a cochannel interference canceller-base station (CIC-BS), in compliance with a tentative air interface designed for IMT-2000, and evaluated its performance both in the laboratory and in the field. In laboratory experiments using 5 MSs, where the loading factor is set to around 10 dB, a transmission gain of 8 to 9.5 dB and a receiving gain of 7 dB have been confirmed. In field experiments using 2 MSs, a transmission gain of around 2.5 dB has been confirmed when the loading factor is an estimated 3 dB
