  • Abstract
The number of patients suffering from neurological diseases is drastically increasing recently, and at the same time, many treatments are being introduced. Among the many different treatments, Korean acupuncture is being favored for its lack of side effects. However, in order to prove that it is effective, it is necessary for Korean medicine to have a scientific medical basis. Therefore, greatly improving medical technologies are being used to perform studies to prove its effect scientifically. BCI (brain computer interface) technology is especially used frequently to research frequency range variation and correlation coefficient. alpha -wave is between 8~12.99Hz and increase in this frequency range will be especially effective for neurological disease patients who will experience decreased alpha-wave. This is an important frequency range for treating neurological diseases. It helps us to determine the best diagnosis and treatment based on BCI. Therefore, in this study 10 different acupuncture spots were treated to look at the alpha-wave appearance and correlation coefficient for each channel.
