Abstract
The analysis of the dynamic behavior of the induction motor by using adimensional models and participation factors is considered. Adimensional models are obtained through linear state transformations on the classical motor models. The adimensionalization procedure preserves the physical meaning of the state; moreover, the resulting models are characterized by simpler structures and reduced number of equations parameters. The participation factors are used to detect possible associations between system modes and state variables. The combined use of adimensional models and participation factors allows to study the influence of the model parameters on the dynamic behaviors of different sized motors under typical control schemes
