Abstract
The paper presents an experimental comparison of two sensorless control schemes: natural field orientation; and stator flux oriented vector control. The final target of this research is the determination of a suitable scheme for implementation in low cost platforms. In order to consider an industrial application of the sensorless drive in a wide set of fields, the implementation is performed using standard microncontrollers instead of DSPs
