Abstract :
Speed estimators for indirect field-oriented control of induction motors are proposed to remove the need of measuring the speed. The speed estimators are based on (1) dynamic model of the induction motor and (2) position measurements obtained through an optical encoder. Experimental results are given to verify the speed estimators
