Abstract
To meet the increasing needs of itempsilas traceability in its whole logistics lifecycle, a RFID public service infrastructure (RFID PSI) is brought out basing on the strong identifiability of RFID technology. The RFID PSI builds an autonomous mechanism of sharing information across enterprises, so that the whole logistics record of an item can be tracked from the manufacturer to the consumer. Based on the RFID PSI, two kinds of tracking mechanisms are put forward to gather logistics record of the item all along its lifecycle. Finally, an inter-regional blood management system prototype is designed and implemented with RFID PSI. In this prototype, the full logistical information of every blood bag has been tracked from its blood donor to its blood user.
