Abstract :
The paper describes a modified approach to harmonic balance analysis for oscillators containing high quality resonant characteristics lumped elements. The circuit is partitioned into resistive and reactive parts, which yields equations either in normal or simple integro-differential form. Performing a discrete Fourier transform, frequency as the unknown is isolated and most of the other unknowns are expressed explicitly, which enable a simple numerical procedure. The method proposed is applied to a standard example
