Abstract
In the paper a canonical electromagnetic problem is considered of wave scattering on a finite PEC cylinder. The cylinder is of the radius comparable to the wavelength ¿ and of the length significantly greater than ¿. For this case limits of validity are violated for UTD because the diameter of the cylinder is not much greater than ¿. Also recommendations concerning maximum MoM segment length could not be satisfied because of computer memory limitations. Only FDTD model fulfilled the assumption of the method. Computer simulation results obtained with the three methods are shown and discussed.
