Abstract :
The processes of computer aided assembly process planning and simulation are important phases in product assembly. In order to cooperative the two processes in the large and complex product manufacturing such as an airplane or a ship and so on, the Assembly Process Micro-planning (APMP) is proposed. The APMP has four levels, which are assembly job, assembly task, assembly operation, assembly action. By using the Process Specification Language (PSL) to describe the four levels of APMP, the information can be shared and transferred between the area of process planning and simulation, so the both processes can be cooperated. Besides, by applying CAA to develop new function based on the integrated plate of CATIA and DELMIA, this technology can be implemented.
