  • Abstract
Further steps in IPTV service are including new technologies, such as 3D and HD. These new services require the network layer to give a good QoS at the end user, measured in terms of QoE values. At the network layer we need a greater flow of data to support these emerging new TV services. The basis of this work focuses on the design, deployment, study, analysis and evaluation of network management algorithm, which monitors the network to ensure the quality of 3D services. In order to carry out the performance test of our algorithm, we have made a batch of tests in order to get reference values (Delay, Jitter, and Packet Loss, and MOS), which are used to analyze what coding system is the optimal in terms of QoS for 3D/HD IPTV. The 3D coding techniques used in our research are Stereo Video Coding and 2D+Z Coding. These results show the performance of the network management algorithm, which successfully ensures the appropriate QoS and QoE to the end users.
