Abstract :
Java connector architecture (JCA) gives applications hosted on application servers the ability to integrate enterprise information systems (EISs) efficiently by JCA connectors. And this integration is very important for Enterprise Interoperability. But JCA connector designs usually introduce much overhead, which affects the overall system performance significantly. This paper provides an aspect-oriented modeling approach to analyzing performance of such JCA-based systems. Here different JCA connector designs are modeled as crosscutting concerns, and can be separately woven with a primary UML model of the system as solvable LQN models. System designers can make a better choice among alternative JCA connector designs based on the results of LQN models.
