Abstract :
Enterprise modeling has been proved to be helpful for optimizing enterprise business process, however missing formal semantics definition limits the analysis technique for enterprise model. In this paper a hybrid method combining IEM (Integrated Enterprise Modeling) methodology and high-level Petri net is presented to tackle this gap. To focus on the process flow, the formalized definitions of basic IEM model are given and the rules for mapping it onto Petri net for all IEM elements are defined. The mapped Petri net is built and programmed with CPN tool and CPN ML. The simulation result shows that the mapping from basic IEM model onto Petri net is unambiguous and the analyzing result based on high-level Petri net can effectively support optimizing IEM model in return. Also applying Petri-net-based analysis method in Enterprise Interoperability is discussed.
