Abstract :
Based on complex monopulse ratio, formulae of angular accuracy are derived for uniform, cosine and Hanning illumination functions in terms of angular interval of two equal power targets and their relative position with sum beam. Calculated results show that the conventional monopulse resolution definition with -3dB beamwidth is rational only for low angular accuracy scenario, and angular resolution performance of monopulse should be determined by the required angular accuracy and the adopted sum/difference patterns.
