Abstract :
This paper discusses the harmonic and interharmonic analysis of a space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) inverter based induction motor drive system. The study is based on the harmonics measured in supply and load side waveforms. The harmonic distortions are measured and analyzed at balanced and unbalanced conditions. Experimental results are validated for a TMS320F240 digital signal processor (DSP) controlled SVPWM inverter fed induction motor drive system. The results show that the level of harmonics is very low for a well-designed PWM inverter operating with linear modulation and balanced load.
