Abstract
Public project is seen as a crucial component of the community, especially in China which adopts an active fiscal policy nowadays. However, the public project management performance (PPMP) usually is not very well and how to improve it puzzles all the countries in the world. The paper attempts to study PPMP improvement from a fire-new viewpoint. Through a demonstration mainly in theory, it concludes with a holistic view that PPMP can be improved by heightening the level of project governance (PG). The core result of this paper is the PPMP continuous improvement model based on PG, the problems that will be encountered in implementing the model are brought forward and the ideas to solve them are presented briefly. The results are significant because they offer a new direction for the future researches and help public projects in China into success.
