Abstract :
A tapered parallel-plate TEM waveguide is presented as new wideband SAR-probe calibration cell. Parallel-plate waveguide can provide known E-field and therefore be used as “calculable calibration cell”. An optimized prototype is presented for the frequencies up to 6 GHz together with the experimental and simulation results.
