Abstract :
In this paper, we analyze the performance of some nonparametric detectors (permutation and rank tests) against the parametric ones. The detector performance analysis was realized by Monte-Carlo simulations, having considered the ideal case of independent and identically distributed (IID) samples of K-distributed clutter, and nonfluctuating and Swerling II target models. The results are shown in curves of detection probability (Pj) versus signal-to-clutter ratio (SCR). Also, we have to point out that both permutation and rank detectors are constant false-alarm rate (CFAR) detectors under IID clutter samples.
