Abstract :
In service-oriented software development, the basic objective is to provide on demand service by discovering and aggregating available service resources. Faced with the distributed, heterogeneous, autonomous and dynamic service resources in Internet, how to provide semantic interoperability support across domains becomes an urgent issue. In this paper, connecting ontologies (CO), which are driven by userspsila requirements, are proposed as a new method to provide on-demand semantic interoperability support for aggregating services. Then the semantic interoperability based on CO is discussed. In addition, an example in urban transportation domain is given to illustrate the method.
