  • Abstract
    Rational scale influences the development and the benefits of construction industry largely. Collecting 29 listed outstanding achievement construction enterprises, the paper sets up a DEA (data envelopment analysis) model to analysis their rationality. The result shows that the scales of the most collected enterprises are irrational, the large-scale constructions are big but not strong, cannot get the intensive economies of scale, and the mid-small-scale professional enterprises get high-level scale economical profit by invests saving and expenditure reducing. The profits of more than half of the enterprises are decreasing return to scale. Only a few enterprises realize the increasing return to scale.
