Abstract :
The increasing popularity of the Internet in China has created great challenges and opportunities for various business sectors. The banking industry is no exception. To sustain business competitiveness, more and more financial institutions are providing Internet banking services. Thus, there is a need for research to investigate the way in which Internet banking site features ultimately influence online banking usage. Based on technology acceptance model and D&M IS success model, an integrated research model was developed relating Internet banking site quality to customers´ beliefs (perceived usefulness and ease of use), attitudes (satisfaction) and intentions. Data collected from 313 respondents were tested against the research model. The results strongly support all of the six proposed hypotheses. Several managerial implications and guidelines for Internet banking site design are discussed.
