Abstract :
The CR mill, provided with the versatile roll-shape creating functions, has implemented the strip-shape control concept, particularly for special steel strips in many varieties. Optimum preset calculation and feedback control based on sensor information have been introduced to effectively control the three shape-control actuators, each of which has its own different characteristics, in their optimum combination, attaining ±5 I unit of shape evaluation and covering a wide-range product mix
