Abstract :
The paper presents our work on selective and low-power gas sensors for fire detectors. We developed colorimetric sensors for CO and NO2 detection, based on a selective color change due to gas exposure. For mass production, the optics and the read-out electronics are produced using a roll-to-roll process. The gas sensor can be integrated in a backend process step with an overall system size of (3.4 × 2.4 × 0.7) cm3.
