Abstract :
Multimedia technology is being introduced at all levels of the BE degrees in Electronics and Communications at the University of New England (UNE). In this paper the use of multimedia technology via an example for a fourth-year education package on signal processing is discussed and analysed. We have used the multimedia education package for teaching and learning during formal class periods and encourage students to use this technology in their own private study and projects to increase their engineering generic skills. The success of the venture has encouraged us to extend the technology to other selected units not only in the BE (Electronics and Communications) program but also in the BEngTech (Bachelor of Engineering Technology) program at UNE
