  • Abstract
The FD-FDTD (frequency dependent finite difference time domain) method using the recursive convolution is applied to a numerical analysis of power absorption by a ferrite plate. Since the ferrite is a gyro-magnetic material and has a permeability tensor, three components of the magnetic field are required for the numerical calculation at every node point of Yee cells. In order to avoid the difficulty, the interpolation technique is employed. Numerical results of the absorbed power by the ferrite plate near a microstrip line are shown and the suppression of undesired emission by the ferrite plate is observed especially in the resonance frequency range of the ferrite material
