Abstract
Consideration is given to robust designs of generalized hold functions. A condition is given for the stability of the system using generalized hold functions in the presence of uncertainty. The problem of simultaneous stabilization and minimization is defined and studied. It is shown that every plant with a strictly proper transfer function is simultaneously stabilizable and minimizable, provided the sampling interval is small enough
