Abstract :
In this article we present a methodology for calculating the electromagnetic torque of a synchronous machine (SM) using the concept of the real density of current based on the generalized distribution function. To validate the model, we consider a three-phase SM with a location of the conductors in the slots in a special way ldquowinding-step shortcutrdquo to the stator windings and a direct current to the rotor. In the first section, we present the principle and the mathematical development of the real density of the current. In the second section, we incorporate the real density in the analytical model of a synchronous machine.
